Should Guns Be Allowed in our Society

“should we allow the guns in our society ?” before finding the answer to this question we must understand the proper usage of these harmful as well as protective weapons. When someone saves others life from a wild animal or a criminal, with a gun ,we say he saved his life and he is like God for him. But when someone takes others life without any reason we say, what dreadful act it was? This is what happened in case of Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Please focus on these two arguments where we use the same weapon “gun” but the way it was used, was different.

The problem is not with the gun it doesn’t have mind to think, but with our mentality. The root cause is not gun ,it is the mind of the person, who is holding it. Why people often forget the sayings like “Live and let Live”. Banning the guns from society is not the solution for the problem our society facing now a days, but the proper way is to learn more about using these weapons. If we ban the guns completely from society, we are cutting our own hands and no more protected. If we ban the guns “do you think we are able to control the crimes in our society?” No way, guns are not the only means using which people become criminal, there are many more other things they can use for this purpose. The basic need is to change the mentality and the way people can use it.

The guns should be provided to the person who has the right to have it, who is responsible, who know what to do and when, who think twice before doing. The society needs the gun for there protection not to kill innocent people. What we need right now to make youngsters understand the consequences of improper uses of these weapons. Let them understand it’s easy for a man to kill someone within few seconds but it’s not possible for him to give life to someone. Use your thoughts for constructive work and try to make your society peaceful.
